In practice

Check the update before it serves your visitors.

An atomic deployment separates preparation from activation. You configure the commands and health checks that tell NodePanel when the new release is ready.

  1. Prepare the candidate release

Fetch the selected revision and run deployment commands in a separate release directory. Configure shared files and folders for persistent data such as environment settings and uploads.

  2. Run checks, then activate

Run your readiness command before activation. A failed preparation leaves the current release in place. After activation, configured health checks verify that the updated application responds.

  3. Return to the previous release

A failed post-activation check triggers recovery to the previous release. You can also request a manual rollback when a previous release is available. Review the reported result and logs to confirm recovery.
