Your server settings
Prepare a LAN or community lobby.
The Dota 2 profile exposes lobby access, game mode and practice settings.
Choose the lobby mode
Select All Pick, Captains Mode, Single Draft or All Random. Set the player limit for the lobby you want to organise.
Set the lobby name and password
Give the server a name your group recognises and set a lobby password. Share the connection details with the players taking part.
Configure practice sessions
Enable cheats for a practice lobby or leave them disabled. Start, stop and restart the server from NodePanel as your sessions require.
Once it is running
Look after the game server from NodePanel.
The game server’s page has its controls, its live usage and the address your players connect to.
- Start, stop, restart and update
- Each one is a single button. Updating the game or saving new settings restarts it, so pick a time when nobody is playing.
- Live CPU and memory
- See the game’s CPU use, its memory use against the limit you set, and its uptime. Use them to decide whether the game needs more memory.
- Address, ports and files
- The Connection card shows the address and ports your players use, and tells you if your hosting provider’s firewall is blocking them. The file manager opens the game’s files.
Try NodePanel
Try it on your own server for 7 days.
Connect your Linux server, pick a game and share the address with your players. You pay your hosting provider separately for the server.
